Libet Experiment,Quantum Mechanics, Determism And Free Will.

You went to vote and thought about whether it is better to vote for Trump or Biden. Later that then caused Biden to win. That's how it seems, but Benjamin Libette's experiment in the 1980's cast some doubts on that in his Neuroscience lab he wired up the subject to an EEG machine measuring brain activity via electrode on their scalps and then asked them to choose to perform a simple hand movement like you were supposed to choose trump or Biden. 

When they felt like it, he also got them to record the time at which they made a conscious decision to move their hands disconcertingly. He found evidence of brain activity initiating the movement hundreds of milliseconds before the individual willed anything to happen. Some people think this is proof that free will is an illusion that our conscious decisions are more like reports on what is already happening than the cause of our action. Libbette didn't go that far. He thought that we might not have free will.

Newtonian Determinism said the universe is a clock, a gigantic clock that wound up in the beginning of time and has been ticking ever since according to Newton's motion. In simple words, even the universe also hated to make trump president and it made losing him billions of years ago fixed.It's already known using Newton's laws of motion. Einstein believed in that. Einstein was a determinist.

Does that mean that in an election, this boring election isn't really a waste of time electing a president every 4 years. It's better to have only one election as a permanent president for the US because the permanent president was already pre-ordered billions of years ago? 

Einstein said in some sense that's true even if an event is predetermined, but he said, we still follow rules. like a murderer should be placed in jail.

Heisenberg then comes along and proposes the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and says :"non sense there is uncertainty. You don't know where the electron is. It could be here, here or many places simultaneously ".This, of course, Einstein hated it because he said God doesn't play dice with the universe.
